Frequently asked questions
My child traces sloppily. Should I correct it?
Lightly. Wobbly lines are normal and improve with repetition, not correction. The one habit worth coaching early is stroke direction — top to bottom, left to right — because backwards-formed letters are harder to fix later than shaky ones.
How can we reuse the tracing sheet?
Slip it into a plastic page protector and trace with a dry-erase marker — it wipes clean and one print lasts months. Rotating between pencil, crayon and finger-tracing keeps repetition from getting stale.
My preschooler gives up halfway through. Is that normal?
Completely. Attention at this age comes in bursts — leave the page out and it'll often get a second visit later. Praising the effort ("you worked on that a long time!") rather than the result builds the staying power.
