To get started, we recommend your child begins by tackling the shorter words on the list first. Words like RAIN, COLD, HEAT, and SNOW are quicker to spot, building confidence and momentum. After finding a few of these, they can then move on to the longer words. Encourage them to scan each row and column slowly, looking for the first letter of a word, and then checking the surrounding letters in all possible directions (across, down, and diagonally) to see if the rest of the word follows.
For a reusable activity, simply slide the printed puzzle into a clear page protector. Your child can then use a dry-erase marker to circle the words, wipe clean, and solve it again another day, or pass it to a sibling or friend.
