Halloween Ghost Coloring Page — free printable coloring for kids to print and color at home

Not every Halloween page has to be spooky. This little ghost is round, friendly and drawn with nice thick outlines and big open spaces — exactly what younger kids need so their color mostly stays where it should.

Here's what I do at home: hand over a silver gel pen or white crayon and let them color the ghost "invisible" against a dark scribbled sky, or flip it and go full rainbow ghost. Neither is wrong, which is the whole point of a page like this.

Frequently asked questions

Can we color it digitally on a tablet?

Sure — open the Halloween Ghost Coloring Page PDF in any drawing or annotation app and color with a stylus. That said, the paper version exercises real pencil grip, so we'd keep the tablet as the travel option rather than the default.

The lines look thick — is that on purpose?

Yes. Bold, uniform outlines are much more forgiving for small hands: they hide little slips, make each area easy to see, and photocopy cleanly if a teacher needs a class set. It's the same style used in classic early-childhood workbooks.

Is this a good quiet-time activity for a preschooler?

It's one of the best: print two or three pages, set out crayons, and you have a genuinely screen-free 20 minutes. A dedicated "quiet-time folder" of favorite printables makes the routine stick.
