Christmas Gift Tags for the Whole Family on One Sheet

Pick “Christmas tags” for the red holly theme with “Merry Christmas!” under the names, then type everyone on your list in “A different name on each tag”: Mom, Dad, Grandma, the cousins, the teacher. Twelve names fill one sheet in the order you typed them, and any tags left over keep a blank To line for the presents you have not bought yet.

  • From Santa: the From line says Santa and the message “Ho ho ho!”. Pair it with a reply letter from Santa on Christmas morning.
  • Secret Santa: the tag says “From: Your Secret Santa”, so nobody gives themselves away by their handwriting. The Secret Santa questionnaire tells the giver what to buy.
  • From the elf: type your elf’s name in From for the small treats it leaves; the elf letters come with a note for every morning.

How to Print and Attach Gift Tags

  1. Print at 100% (“Actual size”) on US Letter; on A4 choose “Fit to page”. White cardstock (65 to 110 lb) holds up best; plain paper works if you tape the tag flat to the wrapping.
  2. Cut along the dotted lines; a paper trimmer makes twelve straight cuts in a minute. Rounded corners are already drawn, so cutting the square is enough.
  3. Punch the printed circle with a hole punch and thread ribbon, baker’s twine or curling ribbon through it.
  4. Black-and-white printers are fine: the holly, balloons and stars are small enough for kids to color in before wrapping.

Letting kids make the tags

Ages 3 to 5 can color the holly and stamp a thumbprint in the corner while you type the names; ages 6 to 8 like to leave the lines blank and write To and From themselves (it is good handwriting practice with a real reason); older kids can run the whole sheet for the family, names and all.
