Cat Coloring Page — free printable coloring for kids to print and color at home

This adorable Cat coloring page features a happy kitty, maybe even your own! Her big round eyes and perky ears are just begging for a splash of color. Kids will love filling in her stripes or spots, and those fluffy tail and whisker details are super easy to make pop.

For a fun activity, let your child choose their favorite cat breed and try to color the page to match! It's a great way to talk about different animals and their unique characteristics.

Frequently asked questions

What do we do with the finished page?

Display it! A fridge-door gallery, a clipboard on the wall, or a simple folder of "best work" makes kids visibly proud and keeps them asking to color again. Finished pages also make lovely mail for grandparents.

Does it matter if my child colors outside the lines?

Not at all. The bold outlines are there as a guide, not a rule — process matters far more than neatness at this age. Coloring "wrong" colors and wandering over lines is exactly how kids build the hand control that later shows up in handwriting.

What grip should my preschooler be using?

Many preschoolers still use a whole-fist grip, and that's fine — it usually matures into a tripod grip by age 5 without drilling. Short crayon stubs (really) nudge fingers into the right position naturally.

Can I use it in my classroom or homeschool?

Yes. Our printables are free for personal, classroom and homeschool use — print as many copies as you need for the kids in your care. The only thing we ask is that you don't resell the files or upload them to other sites.
