Each sheet is a big 12 × 12 grid with a six-color key at the bottom: find the number, pick up that crayon, and a heart, a rocket, a dinosaur or a smiley face slowly appears out of the squares. A second page with the colored answer prints right after, so kids (or a busy grown-up) can check the picture at a glance.

For the holidays there are 8 seasonal pictures further down: Halloween (jack-o'-lantern, ghost, bat and candy corn), Thanksgiving (turkey and pumpkin pie) and Christmas (christmas tree and snowman). They use the same 1-to-6 key, so a class can color them at a party table without any explaining.

Color by number is one of those quiet activities that teaches more than it looks like. Matching each digit to a color builds number recognition for preschoolers, while staying inside a small square is real fine-motor practice for pencil and crayon control. How do I print a page?

Press Print under the picture you want. Your browser’s print dialog opens with the puzzle on page 1 and the colored answer key on page 2 — choose “Save as PDF” there if you would rather keep a file.

Can I print all 20 at once?

Yes — Print all 20 sends every puzzle (with its answer key) to the printer in one go, 40 pages in total. To print only the holiday ones, use Print under each picture.

Can I change the picture size, the colors or add a name?

Use the color-by-number maker: it lets you pick the grid size (10–24), choose your own six colors, add a child’s name, and switch to Math mode where every cell is an addition, subtraction or multiplication problem.

What age are these for?

The 12×12 grid has big cells, so they suit ages 4–8: preschoolers matching numbers 1–6 to colors, and early elementary kids who enjoy the “picture reveal”. Older kids can use the maker for finer grids and math mode.
